Research in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Science

The Faculty of Pure and Applied Science has a rich variety of research programs in all of the disciplines in the Faculty. Research is tightly integrated with our academic programs at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. The collaborative nature of much of our research is reflected by the diversity of the Research Centres affiliated with the Faculty (see right).

The Faculty offers graduate programs in Applied Geomatics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics & Statistics and Psychology.

The Faculty is also home to 4 Canada Research Chairs that are in key areas of research at the University - the Environment, Materials Science, Modelling, Information Technology and Society, Health and Wellness, and Education, Culture and Community.
