Acadia ALERT - Campus Closed (Weather)

Today, Monday, February 23, 2026, Acadia University will remain closed, with the exception of residences and Wheelock Dining Hall, due to the forecasted weather. Wheelock Dining Hall may adjust their hours due to the weather and any change in hours will be communicated through Residence Life.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Any events scheduled for today will be postponed or cancelled.

Acadia Does Well at ChemCon 2011

Acadia's Chemistry Department had a good showing at ChemCon 2011 at UPEI. Acadia tied for the most presenting delegates and had the largest number of students attending the conference.  Acadia students won more awards than any other university this year, including the top awards for undergraduate and graduate student presentations.

Richard Lincoln – APICS Undergraduate Science Communication Award

Kayleigh Brown – Best Undergraduate Oral Presentation in Physical, Theoretical or Computational Chemistry

Jim Ghoshdastidar – Best Graduate Oral Presentation

Colin Spencer – E. Gordon Young Award for Best Pedagogical Graduate Oral Presentation
