Acadia Professor Carries the Flag at Moncton IAAF Games
Professor
Sandra Barr
was honored to serve as one of six flag bearers for the Opening
Ceremony of the IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships in
Moncton, New
Brunswick on July 19th. The flag bearers were chosen for the lasting
impression they have made in the world of sports in New Brunswick,
Canada, and
the world. They had the privilege of marching in the IAAF flag,
following the
parade of athletes, in front of a live audience of thousands of
spectators and
millions of television viewers around the world.
