Acadia ALERT - Campus Closed (Weather)

Today, Monday, February 23, 2026, Acadia University will remain closed, with the exception of residences and Wheelock Dining Hall, due to the forecasted weather. Wheelock Dining Hall may adjust their hours due to the weather and any change in hours will be communicated through Residence Life.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Any events scheduled for today will be postponed or cancelled.

Leiter on Civility

Dr. Michael Leiter, Acadia’s Canada Research Chair on Occupational Health and Wellbeing, and founder of the Centre for Organizational Research and Development, is scheduled to be interviewed on CBC Radio regarding his upcoming TEDx presentation on What Small Town Life Teaches Us About Civility. Tune in to CBC Radio’s Information Morning this Friday, May 13 at 6:40 a.m. to learn more.
Dr. Leiter is also one of the featured presenters at TEDx Annapolis Valley, which is set for Saturday, May 14 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Al Whittle Theatre, Wolfville, N.S. The theme for the TEDx event is "Ideas that Connect and Empower Rural Communities." Through the involvement of dynamic speakers and thought-provoking presentations, TEDx Annapolis Valley offers innovative and inspiring ideas and concepts, designed to demonstrate how we can all make a difference to enhance, connect, and empower our rural communities and groups.
